Our System Is Now Perfected... I think

First of all, I have to say THANK YOU so much to my friends who were so kind as to take their time outlining their systems for me and also Rachel, who gave me an awesome new idea!! I am SO excited about this and boy you should see Emma. She's super duper excited. I have never in my life seen a kid so anxious to "help" around the house. She's been this way her whole life. I should've started this chore chart thing A LONG time ago.

I decided that instead of doing a set allowance to do the star system that Rachel also suggested, that way it's up to them how much money they earn each week.

10 Stars = $1

I think this is very fair, because it ends up that each chore is worth 10 cents, which is pretty cheap if you ask me. I think that as Emma gets older and she's more proficient at doing each job, this will change somewhat and I also know that I'll change the chores around and add and subtract new jobs or what not as they get older, but for right now, this is perfect in my eyes.

It teaches them responsibility not only with money, but with taking care of their house and learning how to be helpful. The last thing I want is a houseful of lazy, irresponsible teenagers in ten years. Hopefully this will aid in that endeavor. ;)
