A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That...

I am so behind on Tony's Father's Day present. It will be mailed out tomorrow, but that means that he won't be getting it til next Wednesday. :( So sorry, Tony, you know I'm always late for everything. But my Mother's Day present was late by weeks, so we're even. :) Anyway, I could not decide what to get to send him over there, so Emma and I came up with a project and last night we worked on it til almost 1am. We're night owls around here.

This is her making her daddy's card....

An old friend came to visit us today. Traci and I taught sixth grade together back before/when I was pregnant with Emma and we've kind of lost touch since I quit teaching, but thanks to the wonderful world of Facebook and Blogspot, we've reconnected!! :) This is her gorgeous little girl, Anna Dove. Omgosh, she is just edible. Her and Noah played so sweet together all day today! We just loved having them here. And we actually managed some girl talk above the kid's loudness. :)

And Jessica's sweet little penny, Isaak carries around an adorable, soft, fuzzy, fleece blanket all the time, so the last time I saw her, I asked her how she made it. Well, she told me and I've been dying to do it ever since! So, tonight, I made this Thomas the Train blanket for Noah. It's so perfect for him! As soon as I was done making it, I went into his room and snuggled him all up inside it.

And, Jessica, I totally messed up a few times, but I think it looks okay for my first try.. right? Does it? Did I do it right? I'm making a bigger one for Emma when I get done writing this blog, so text me if it looks like I did something wrong. :) Oh, and if you weren't the one who told me how to make it, I would make one for Penny for his birthday, but since his mama's the master... I'll leave that to you! :)

p.s. Mindy, is this creative enough for me to post about it on Apron Girls? You know I'm stressin about living up to those amazing standards you girls have set on there. I don't feel worthy at all. ;)

p.s.s I am skipping the treadmill tonight. I'm not trying to get slack already, but my knees are still poppin and my right foot has been sore today too, so I don't want to push it too hard and get hurt. Then who would chase my babies? I'll get back on top of it tomorrow..

Candace!!! Seriously, we are not that fancy over at apron girls! This is definitely good enough! Every decorating project and crafty project I've seen from you is amazing... post away. :)

I think we're running injury twins... my right knee pops, and my left foot hurt for a long time. Sigh.

Oh boy, you're an awesome blogger/photographer!! I love the pictures of the sweet girls, too cute!!

oh, and careful on those knees, my new sweet friend! My bro got "runner's knee" (which i've never heard of since my sort of "running" is after the ice cream truck) but he was OUT OF COMMISSION for such a long time-- but he was a butt head and tried to "run through the pain"... you're MUCH smarter than he is!

Very cute....and I can see the Jessica never responded to this post...what a loser! I guess she was busy eating her cheesecake last night..as IF that is more important then your post?

Yes, you did make it correctly. I've made these blankets before for my kids too. They are super easy and no sewing at all....all you need are scissors!

Noah's blanket turned out great!

That's great you guys had such a good time, and that blanket is awesome...I know he slept great with it. Good job not pushing too hard baby, if you are hurting then don't run, give that pretty body time to recover;)
