It Was a Learnin Day

First of all, we started recycling a few weeks ago. You know, I want to do my part in helping out the earth and preventing Global Warming. I don't know how much recycling is going to prevent global warming, but hey, it might, so I'm going with it. Anyway, the recycling was really piling up in the garage, so today we took it to the "recycling center" aka... the dump. I learned how they seperate it so now I think I'll be much better at keeping it organized in our garage. This is nice, because really, I've been just throwing everything plastic into one container. This included bottles, jugs, plastic things that ham and turkey come in, plastic grocery bags, toothbrushes, razors... you name it.... if it was plastic, it was in the one container. Since trash grosses me out and makes me throw up if it even has a slight odor, this was not a good thing for me, which is also why I've been letting it pile up in the garage. I've been totally dreading taking it off.

So, today we took it and tonight I'm going to label the bins so that the next time we go, it'll be a very easy task with no gagging moments peppered into the mix.

I also took our old comforter to the dry cleaners so it'll be nice and clean hanging out in a closet in our house for the next hundred years. Hopefully I'll find someone who needs it, because I really don't have room for all this stuff! It's a king size comforter with tons of accent pillows (just ask Amber) and curtains to match. It was not cheap and I think it's pretty. So, if you know of anyone who needs this stuff, please tell me.

While we were at the cleaner, I looked back at Noah and this what he was doing in the backseat. I guess he was learning to bite his toenails...

This picture is just for my amusement. He ate an entire McDonald's cheeseburger today. Entire.. this includes the bread. The only part of it he didn't eat was the big piece of pickle. He ate the little pickle, but I thought the big one was just too much.
I learned that it's definitely time to put the baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs. I've been avoiding this, because baby gates are so annoying, but Noah can climb the whole flight of stairs in about ten seconds. So, to keep from giving Emma a heartattack (she freaks when she sees him climbing the stairs, she thinks he's going to plunge to the bottom and die) I should probably put it up. The truth is that Noah has quite a powerful grip and he holds onto that carpet for dear life. I seriously doubt he would ever take the plunge, but nonetheless, the gate is now securely in place.

Another one just because he's so cute. This is because we ran errands right in the middle of his nap time. Love the pouty lips. So kissable...

Love all the pictures! Babies are inexplicably drawn to stairs and it's so much fun to watch them climb with their little waddly butts.

Way to go with the recycling! I'm so glad that we have pick up service here and it all goes in one bin, I don't know if I could be as diligent with it in the garage.

Post a picture of the comforter and 50 bazillion pillows, maybe one of your readers is interested.
