I'm sitting for a moment to allow my sweat to dry and my knees to rest. I just got done working out and true to my word, I'm going to keep documenting it on here to hopefully keep myself accountable.
To say I'm exhausted is to say the grass is green. My lungs are still burning and my insides are shaking. I didn't throw up, but I sure felt like it a few times.
And always, my goal is to just do a little better each time than I did the time before. I can't help it, I'm not really competitive with other people, but I'm very competitive with myself. No matter what it is I'm doing, I must do it better each time than I did the time before.
So, Tuesday, I walked/ran for 30 minutes. I ran a mile and walked a mile and according to my treadmill, I burned 269 calories. And tonight, I ran/walked for 33 minutes. I ran 1.3 mi. and walked a mile. I really try to never walk more than a mile unless I'm running like 5 miles like I used to.. before I had Emma, then, when I'm running that far, I don't mind having a little more walking scattered about it there. But anyway, and tonight my treadmill told me I burned 342 calories. Nice... almost a hundred more than Tuesday.
And to you runners (Bonnie) and you gym rats (Tony) I know this all sounds very sucky to you, just keep in mind, I've been a sedentary blob for the past year and haven't been a "runner" since before I was pregnant with Noah. I think the other night I said it was before I had him, but that was a lie, it was before I was pregnant. The reason I know this is because no matter how hard I try to make myself, I never work-out when I'm pregnant. I mean, I tell myself I'm going to, but really... I never do. I always find an excuse to be lazy. However, I did teach pilates when I was pregnant with Emma until the end of my first trimester, but after that.... fat and lazy all the way!! With lots of mexican food, hence the 60 lbs. I gained with her. :)

Congrats on your accomplishment!
yay! i'm proud of you. try throwing up next time. it's hot. i love it.
Candace! What are you talking about!? You are doing GREAT!
Pilates?! Dude, from what I hear that is the best workout! Now I really wish I lived near you! I could use your photography AND pilates skills!
So are you gonna weigh in every week? You should! You don't have to tell us the number just the difference. Like -2.3lbs or something. That will make you even more accountable! That way we have something to gauge your progress and we can really CHEER you on!
Baby, that is not sucky at all! I don't run enough. I need to start runnin more so when I get home I'll be able to keep up with ya when we start running together:) Keep it up baby!
are you kidding me, you're amazing!!!!! i'm really impressed.. 30 mins is a really long time.... that's like 1,800 seconds!!!
keep up the good work, Candace, you're aweome
That's awesome for going from basically not running to going over a mile! I'm impressed.
I'd be careful, I think Bonnie is starting to feel a little competitive up there with the posting weightloss and all that jazz.
Okay, so first of all, you have Jessica, Bonnie and now Katrina on here as friends?!?! WOW...look at all these friends/followers I have brought to your life:) Haha!!!
Congrats on the running. I myself hate running....just ask Katrina...we would mostly just sit in the sauna at the gym and work our jaws out:) Gosh, I miss those days!
