Busy, Busy Week

I'm sorry I've been so absent on here over the past couple of weeks. I think of you guys all the time. Literally. I miss hearing from you and I miss reading your blogs. Last week was so busy getting ready to go to Dallas to train with Amy and then this past week, I was so busy implementing what I learned from her that I have had absolutely no time to post on here. Well, I could've posted something, but I'm not usually great at short posts.

I have had an amazing week, though, I'm happy to report! I spent two afternoons/evenings with great friends ( Alison, Garrett, Jack, and Collins & Heather and Miles :). I'm so lucky to have friends like you guys in my life! Thanks for always being there. :) And not to mention that a friend that I've known half my life drove from Jacksonville on Tuesday for me to take pictures of her and her four boys. What an amazing time we had! We started our shoot on the Bullard Farm because they'd just baled up hay and the boys had a blast playing and being themselves out there. It was a great time and so wonderful to see her again and catch up. I'm pretty sure we hadn't seen each other since 9th grade!!! Life is good when you get the pleasure of being reunited with an old friend from the past like that. :)

And these boys.... AMAZING. I completely fell in love with them! I'll have more of their pictures on my GJP blog this week, so keep an eye out! :)

And tonight, we got to cook-out and spend the evening with my mom for the fourth! We thought we were going to be alone for this holiday, because my mom was at the beach, but she ended up missing us and coming home early. So, thankfully we were not alone this fourth of July.

My mom wanted some pictures taken of her, because she never gets pictures and she likes updating her sites she's on, just as we do, so I snapped a few pics of her tonight after we cooked out. All I have to say is that LORD.. I hope I look like her when I'm her age. I mean, seriously. She's turning 50 this year and you would never, ever know it! I'm going to post a bunch of her on my blog this week sometime, but those of you on my Facebook have already seen a couple of them. Here are a few of my favorites so far...

All I have to say is... LORD, I am SO thankful that half of my DNA came from HER!!! :)

Hope you all had a happy fourth, friends, I"ll try not to go another WEEK without posting! What a slacker I am. I'm sure a few of you are on the verge of putting my blog in time-out. :)

Today at the Beach

This blog's pictures are here thanks to my bestie, Amy. She went to Best Buy in Jacksonville today and got me a card reader so I wouldn't have to wait until I returned home to blog about my trip! She's wonderful! :) And what makes it even more wonderful is that I was so desperate to have a way to transfer my pictures onto my computer, that I left straight off the beach and was going somewhere to find a card reader. Straight off the beach.. still covered in sand, no make-up, and a hat. Wow. Desperation. Anyway, so instead, I just had to go to Amy's house to pick it up from her. This was awesome for more reasons than just the card reader, though. I had left my kids at home with my granny and mom, so we got to spend some quality, kid-free time together. This never happens. Never.

So, today, we were only on the beach for a short time because the little man was not all about it today. And I felt so sorry for Emma when we first got out there, because she didn't have any friends to play with or a daddy to play with.

However, after only a short time, Emma spotted these twin little girls, Megan and Jordan, just down the beach from us and she played with them the whole time we were out there. Thank goodness for nice people, because they truly didn't mind Emma joining their group.

There was also a fourth little girl playing with them, she just didn't make it into this picture.

So, while Emma was playing with the little girls, I started documenting Noah's pure cuteness.

He licks his little lips like this constantly when someone has something he wants to taste. The boy loves to eat!

He was being so sweet, but so not liking the sand..

Being sweet with his Mimi

Such a cool dude he is...

Chillin with his granny... I love this picture!!!

We had fun on the beach again this evening.. more to come later...

Playin Catch-up

You may know that Wednesday, my mom, my kids, and I made the trip up to Chapel-Hill... for two reasons... #1-- We had to get some memorablia.... t-shirts... cheerleading outfits... sweatshirts.... soccer balls.... that marked Carolina's huge National Championship win... and #2---my mom was having a procedure done Thursday morning in Durham ( this was really the number one reason, but the other one was the more fun reason).

Emma was SO EXCITED to go to the home of the Tarheels. She was dancin all around Franklin Street, I tell ya.. the girl has no shame. She's aspiring to be the NEXT TOP MODEL, I do believe...

Notice all the people walking by... she could not have cared less.. the more oohs and ahhs she got, the more animated she became...

Franklin Street is so beautiful

Mama putting her t-shirt on Emma, because it was getting super chilly out!

Franklin Street again...

My little ham..

No words needed...

Loved these buildings...

Noah got his first bath in the sink last night... he liked it... and he liked playing with his pee pee in front of the camera...

Sweetie boy (this is what Emma calls him)...

Noah new favorite thing is finding crayons and eating them... I really freaked this morning when I found him like this, then I discovered the little stubby crayon tucked away in his cheek...
He got really, really angry with me when I took the crayon away from him....
This is my new favorite face...

No, wait, THIS is my new favorite face... he thought a good scream would get him his crayon back...
Didn't work out too well...
p.s. People just waking up from anesthesia do some CRAZY funny things.. I could tell you some of the things my mom did, but then she would kill me... oh well...
