Positivity in 2011

2010 was a pretty good year here at my house, however, I'm really hoping that 2011 trumps it like TEN FOLD.

Tony and I are in a great place in our marriage. I can honestly say that starting in May, this has been the best year of our marriage. The first part of the year was rough for us, but when he came home in May, things turned around majorly and they've been amazing ever since.

We got to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas together this year and that's the first
time that's happened since 2005, so that was awesome.

And we went to NYC for almost a week and WOW. I can't even put into words how awesome that trip was. I hope we can do that again VERY soon.

Here are a few of our pictures...

This is us at Radio City Music Hall. We saw the Christmas Spectacular show with the Rockettes.

This was when we were waiting for ELF to start. This was the third show we saw during our trip.
Our hotel... The Marriott Marquis... LOVE this place. Miss it. Lots.

This was the very FIRST picture I took. These huge ornaments are part of the Christmas decor around Rockefeller Center. The whole city is decorated in such an elaborate way. We loved it. Christmas is an awesome time to visit the city. :)

This is just one of the hundreds of pictures I took in Central Park. I hope the next time we go, it will be warmer outside and I'll be in better shape and we'll go for a run through Central Park!! :)

Tony and I have definitely had our share of trying times in our marriage in the past years, but 2010 showed me that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be and want to be in life and I know that from this point on things are only going to get better and better for us as a family and as a couple.

So, I'm so thankful for this past year for bringing us closer than ever before! :)

One thing about 2010 that was AWFUL was the drama I had to go through with some friends. Some adults will unfortunately never mentally leave middle school and I plan to make it my goal to keep those adults out of my life.

When you're busy trying to raise your children and take care of your family and in my case, run and grow my business, the last thing you have time for is girls who want to return to 8th grade and start treating everyone accordingly.

In a nutshell, I hope that 2011 is filled with nothing but absolute positivity.

I want to forgive those who've hurt me and hurt my family and friends in the past and I want to have a 2011 filled with growth and positivity!!

8th grade was sooooooo 500 years ago. ;) i really liked your post, and i SO hope i get to visit NYC someday, hopefully during the holidays!
"Jim" and I have had our fair share of ups and downs in our marriage too, and it took a couple months apart (not a deployment. ahem.) for us to really figure things out. and that was almost 4 years ago, and i have to say the past 4 years, and this past year especially have been the best of our marriage. Life isn't a fairytale and we as humans are not perfect, but I'm glad we're in a wonderful place, and I'm happy you are too. Especially if we're trying to keep only the positive in our lives, woohoo!

2) i'm so glad you and your hubs are in a great place... i feel that same way... i think 2010 was a good year in terms of marriages... i've heard this a lot lately and it makes me glad!

3) I'm sorry you had to deal with some punk-face, ass-bags (yes. i said a naughty) but sometimes people are truly punk-face, ass-bags for no reason and that angers me... thankfully, you've risen above
