Books, Books... and a few more Books..

I've added another page on this blog. It's called "All-Time Favorites". I'm a bit obsessed with books.. always have been. Books and babies....

So, if you, too, are in love with books, you can click on the page and it will show you my all-time faves, in case you'd like to know. Oh, and I'd love to know what yours are too, because I'm always looking for a new fave. ;)

And I'm putting ALL of my favorite books on there.

Children's books... cook book(s)... novels... exercise books... whatever.

So, anyway...

Have you ever read The Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns both by Khaled Hosseini? Both are in my list of all time favorite books.

Wow, I have read most of those books and I would have to agree with most... however, you liked The Shack?! I hated that book. It was so hard to read and it was so over the top! I hate how it portrayed God as just an everyday person and how "He" was referred to as Papa but was a woman. I know that it was supposed to symbolize comfort and closeness with our Heavenly Father, but it came across disrespectful to me. If God was just an ordinary person, he wouldn't be God... he would be your neighbor. The whole book just made me really uncomfortable.

Hey, you need to read How to Talk to a Widower by Jonathon Tropper. I thought it was pretty good, kind of funny.

I've never heard of that one. I did love "The Shack", though, reading it made me feel so wonderful and thankful. Not the part about his little girl dying. I cried my eyes out for him several times, but I did love the book, very much.
